Just in case you're wondering, yes, this video WAS voiced by Ian McDiarmid, The Emperor himself.  Angry Birds Star Wars 2 will be released Sept. 19 on available iOS, Android and Windows Phone Devices for $0.99.

Skyrim: Into the Void incredible fan film trailer

My jaw literally dropped when I watched this fan film trailer of Skyrim by Machinima.  I can only hope that some movie exec picks up on this awesome trailer, and decides to move forward with a Skyrim movie.  The possibilities definitely look optimistic.

Neil Gaiman launches first game - Wayward Manor

This is very exciting news.  The man who gave us The Sandman comic book series and American Gods is launching his first video game called Wayward Manor.  This promotion video not only describes the game and its alluring plot, but also gives us information on how to enter a competition to have a "spooky" dinner with Neil Gaiman in Los Angeles.  You can visit the game's website for more details.

Weapon Wars - Mega Man vs. Metroid

Machinima has produced a clever new web series titled 'Weapon Wars' where average people engage in a death match with video game weapons in a fictional battle.  This particular battle portrays the weapons of Mega Man [shedding a little nostalgia tear] and Metroid.

Batman: Arkham Origins release date set for Oct 25 2013

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment will release Batman: Arkham Origins, the next installment to the Arkham videovame franchise on Oct 25, 2013 worldwide.  The game will be released for XBOX 360, PlayStation®3, the Wii U™, and Windows PC.

Damsel in Distress: Tropes vs. Women in Video Games

As a female geek and gamer I really appreciate Anita Sarkeesian, vblogger of FeministFrequency, and her efforts to expose gender bias in pop culture.  Women in video games are too often sexualized and objectified.  Even woman warriors seen in Soul Calibur, Tomb Raider, or Mortal Kombat are adorned with ridiculously skimpy clothing and heels (as if anyone could run and fight in heels?).  This video gives a nice introduction to this pandemic problem in gaming.
