My first memory of watching a movie with my Dad is of me being 4 years old and watching Night of the Living Dead, which I later figured out isn't really a children's movie. Actually, much of my love-of-all-things-nerdy came from the movies I watched with my Dad when I was growing up. Today, I can't think of any better way to celebrate Father's Day than by sharing a quality movie marathon with my Dad and watching one (or all) of these nerdtastic movies:

Whether you are an alien, AI, or human the chances are that you have a mother. I have an awesome mother who, although she claims she isn't a nerd, loves to do nerdy stuff with me. One of our favorite things to do is just hangout and watch nerdy movies. Holidays at my home are never what people call "normal" and my family's holiday movie choices reflect that. Christmas means watching Bram Stoker's Dracula (all that red blood on white snow feels like Christmas) and Thanksgiving is all about watching The Godfather (the movie is all about family).
