Everything wrong with The Hobbit movie in 5 minutes

Since The Hobbit opened in theaters last December, I have since bellowed my dissatisfaction with the movie (see Awful vs. Awesome column).  This short 5 minute video is a nice introduction as to why I am unhappy with this new interpretation of Tolkien's famous child's book.

Tolkein held the natural beauty of the land in high regard.  With that said, it's no wonder that all the J.R.R. Tolkein movies have some of the most beautiful landscape views in cinema history.  This short video does a nice job of putting these thoughts into perspective.

The new trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug has finally been released.  The second Hobbit movie appears to promise even more action than the last.  Plus, there are DRAGONS!  Need I say more.  The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug will be released December 13, 2013.

Gandalf vs. Dumbledore: Wizard's Rap Battle

Who hasn't wondered what would happen if Gandalf and Dumbledore had a Wizard's Duel? The only possible thing better than a Wizard's duel is a Wizard's Rap Battle. I don't think anybody could dispute Gandalf and Dumbledore's mad street cred after this epic battle....oh, and after they helped destroy the forces of evil.

How the Hobbit should have ended

I have very mixed feelings about the new Hobbit movie.  Although I am very loyal to the Tolkien franchise, The Hobbit was nowhere near the caliber of movie as The Lord of the Rings.  Without question, it deserves to be made fun of.  Watch this funny video from HiSHE that takes the worst of the Hobbit movie, and ruthlessly pokes fun at it.
