The new Man of Steel movie will feature none other than Ben Affleck to star as Batman. Personally, I have mixed feelings about this. Although I adore Ben Affleck from Kevin Smith movies like Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma, I can't see him play a good Batman. To me, the actor that plays The Dark Knight needs to be...well, DARK, and Ben Affleck just doesn't have that type of mystique about him.
Don't get me wrong. The Batman franchise has had it's ups and downs; the lowest point being when George Clooney played Batman in 1997. On the other hand, Ben Affleck just might surprise us. As an audience, we have been surprised before. To be honest, I never thought Heath Ledger would make a good Joker, and I never suspected Ann Hathaway could possibly play a convincing Catwoman. Somehow, both actors were able to pull it off.
