Valentine's Day is right around the corner and Love is in
the air. Some people may not think of nerds as being terribly romantic but the
truth is that nerdome is full of romance, you can find it everywhere. There is
the ultra cool Han and Leia love, the reboot love of Uhura and Spock, the
implied love of Black Widow and Hawkeye, or the ultimate doomed love of Neo and and
Trinity. You just can't escape the love. Keeping that in mind there are a few
movies that rise above the rest in the romance arena and would be the perfect
pick to share with that special geeky someone in your life. So here are Geek
Magnet's top five movie picks for Valentine's day.
#5 Terminator. Granted this movie is supposed to be about fighting robots
and saving mankind but isn't the real story about a love that transcends time?
#4 Wall-E. There is possibly nothing cuter in this world than robot
love. Move over puppy parades and cute kitten YouTube videos, there is a new
champion of adorableness in the world. This is a story of love at first sight.
Poor little Wall-E lives a lonely existence until he meets Eva. He risks his
life and saves mankind all in the name of love. Free Shipping on Orders $75 and Up at PartStore.com.
#3 The Princess Bride. "As you wish!" may possibly the most romantic line
ever spoken. This lighthearted and quotable movie is all about love and not
giving up on love. Full of swordfights, princesses, and witty banter this movie
is a romance classic and the epitome of the nerdy romantic comedy. So instead
of having to watch Sleepless in Seattle for the hundredth time, just pop The
Princess Bride into the DVD player and enjoy. Buy Online, Pick Up in Your Local Best Buy Store-Same-Day Pickup Guarantee.
#2 Bram Stoker's Dracula. Who doesn't enjoy a story about timeless and doomed love. Save yourself from being forced to watch
Romeo & Juliet or Titanic again and instead watch this dark sexy romance
unfold. Gary Oldman is a wickedly sexy Dracula (when he isn't in his old man
garb) and Winona Ryder goes from innocent to lusty in a delightfully dramatic
fashion. This movie delivers in sexiness, romance, drama, and action which
means that it should prove to be an enjoyable film for everyone. Best Buy Home Theater
#1 The Fifth Element. *Spoiler* The fifth Element is love. Love literally saves the world,
can you get any more romantic than that. Korben Dallas meets superhuman
(possibly alien) Leeloo and is pulled into a quest to save mankind. The movie
is full of funny moments and just beautiful scenes like the Diva's opera which
also transforms into an awesome fight scene for Leeloo. Korben Dallas is a
romantic kickass, and has a great sense of humor that really makes this movie particularly
gratifying.

As any true geek would know, it's spelt "Leia", not "Leah" :)
